Just hours before adjourning for the year, the 107th U.S. Congress authorized and appropriated $50 million for PEP for fiscal year 2002 as part of the Elementary and Secondary Education Reauthorization conference report (HR 1 No Child Left Behind Act of 2001). President George W. Bush is expected to sign this education bill into law. NASPE would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement.NASPE will keep you informed as to when the US Department of Education releases the new guidelines and application deadline.
